SENOIR RESIDENCY pt II REFLECTION #1

I made this in response to the readings and the promt questions because being curious suportive and creative is the same as making magic when it matters most. And to me it is just as powerful as an astroid hurling towards earth. Holding yourself to kindness and dignity even during scary, vulnrable, painful moments when nobody is watching, come out being the most life changing. So remember to be the astriod hitting earth when nobody is watching.

I also felt that even if an astroid were to hit earth, you could still be having the happiest day of your life and it just might pass. Or it wont. And then your last day was the happiest day on earth. But really that is up to you. My take away from unlearn is that no matter what we think, we are actually in control. If the world is ending we can still make the concious choice to have the best day and spend time with those who we love instead of wasting time worried about the world ending.

3. Making Magic When It Matters Most

Chapter 2 suggests that hospitality has its greatest power not during celebrations, but during moments of vulnerability, loss, or uncertainty.

What responsibility do professionals, creators, and leaders have to create moments of relief, dignity, or magic—especially when people are struggling?

Creatives have the responsibility to hold themselves with a certain level of dignity and self awareness almost all the time, especially creative professionals with a large media presences. Everything we do is a reaction to how we feel and create from then on, having consistent awareness of oneself always you to more clearly see how what you create, even the words you speak affect others. The hope is to always affect others in a postive way, be the light in your own life to be a light for everyone.

Some of the most well known musical artists ever are so well known because of the communities that follow.

If the work you create carries the light within you into others through your creative means so much so that it becomes a grounding place for more then one person then you are creating your own path to success.
