DTA & THE CHAOSE MACHINE, Reading Reflection #3

Currently, financial interests have heavily outweighed ethics in shaping social media, which is a key reason why society is attached to their socials like a toxic relationship. Ethics should play a much larger role in the adaptations of these platforms, but I question whether it is even possible for companies behind these platforms to give up 5% of their profits for ethics. There have been plenty of opportunities for ethics to be taken seriously in Silicon Valley, 20 years' worth of opportunities, and have YouTube or Facebook made any complex changes to their platforms in terms of ethics?

At this point, there should be more accountability for the platforms, even if it is user behavior that is the front facing problem at hand. The Platforms push and encourage this immoral rash behavior for profit, showing no concern for how it harms society. That is why I made this graphic of the apps and platforms behind bars, because our government loves to put people behind bars for so many reasons, many of which can be considered ridiculous, because the US has one of the highest incarceration rates globally. Yet these companies are altering the human brain for the worst and have no repercussions?

These platforms should be behind bars because they have altered society and encourage hate, radical aggression, and even encourage people to take physical hateful action. HOLD THE COMPANIES AND THE PLATFORMS ACCOUNTABLE

Turning the best-performing content into ads to drive sales is the core variable from Gary Vee's Strategy of Content that resonates with me the most. I would leverage my existing viewership to start generating revenue, rather than continuously producing content with little to no tangible return. I can then analyze the best-performing content to identify what earns the most and curate similar content.

Content should evoke some emotion because those triggers are what make people stay for a moment. In the same way, walking through an art gallery, most people stop at the pieces that evoke any emotion at all, and then they move on. The stronger the emotion, the longer people linger. Music that evokes strong emotions makes people listen more and come back to it. In my opinion, the creator @Batt.Maillie does this very well. He creates aesthetically pleasing short skits that focus on fashion and colors, utilizing humor and emotions in his writing. Overall, his content is captivating and keeps audiences wanting more.
